This guide explains how to log in, score holes, edit previous holes, review the leaderboard, and confirm a final match. Each match must have one live scorer entering scores in the app and one paper scorekeeper keeping the official card. Compare the two every few holes and resolve any differences immediately. If your connection drops, keep scoring on paper and submit when reconnected.
1) Getting Started
- Open absolutcup.vercel.app on your phone.
- Tap Scorer Login.
- Select your name and then select your assigned match (e.g., WM1, TM2, or FM1).
- The app will open directly to the current hole for scoring.
2) Scoring a Hole
- Choose the Score Winner: Grit, Glory, or Push.
- Choose the Putts Winner: Grit, Glory, or Push.
- Add any Junk Points (Closest to Pin or Longest Drive) for each team.
- Tap Submit Hole.
Wait for a brief green “Score Saved” message to confirm your score has posted successfully. Once the score is saved, the app will automatically advance to the next hole.
The running total updates after each hole so you can easily verify the score’s progress.
3) Editing a Hole
- Tap Select Hole to Edit at the top of the scoring screen.
- Choose the hole number. A yellow banner will appear that says EDITING HOLE X.
- Update Score, Putts, or Junk as needed, then tap Apply Correction.
Totals update automatically. Always confirm the changes match the paper card before saving.
4) Final Confirmation
- After the final hole is scored, the app automatically moves to the Final Confirmation screen.
- Review every hole and the totals for both teams carefully.
- If something looks off, tap Edit Hole to correct it. When you save, the app returns to Final Confirmation and refreshes the totals.
- When both sides agree, verbally confirm that the app totals and the paper card match exactly.
- Tap Confirm & Post Match to finalize. Once confirmed, the match locks and you are automatically logged out.
5) Viewing the Leaderboard
- Tap Leaderboard in the top menu to view all active matches.
- See current totals for Team Grit and Team Glory and each match’s progress (e.g., “Thru 6” or “Final”).
- Tap “View Scorecard →” to open any match’s detailed hole-by-hole card.
- The leaderboard updates automatically every few seconds; you can also refresh manually.
6) Helpful Reminders
- One Live Scorer: Only one player per match should enter scores in the app.
- Paper is Official: The paper card remains the official record—cross-check regularly.
- Wait for the Green Message: Don’t move on until “Score Saved” appears.
- Connectivity: If offline, continue scoring on paper and submit later.
- Final Confirmation: Always verbally agree with the other team that totals match before posting the final score.
In Short: Score → Wait for Green Message → Verify with Paper → Continue → Final Confirm with Both Teams → Post Match.
Simple, accurate, and fair.
